Worship Leader Announces New Song That Sounds Exactly Like His Previous 47 Songs

Marcus Webb, 31, describes the work as 'a breakthrough' and 'one of the most honest things I've ever written.'

MILLBROOK, Ala. — The lead worship pastor at Covenant Fellowship Church announced Sunday the release of a new original song titled Endless, describing it as a breakthrough in his creative ministry that he believes will "unlock something new in the congregation."

The announcement comes approximately six weeks after the release of Boundless, three months after Limitless, and eleven months after Unfailing — all of which chart at 74 beats per minute in the key of G major and feature the phrase "you alone are worthy" in the bridge.

"I was in my car when the Spirit just dropped this song on me," said Marcus Webb, 31, who leads worship at Covenant Fellowship and produces all original music from his home studio. "I think it's one of the most honest things I've ever written."

A preliminary listen confirms that Endless opens with a single acoustic guitar, introduces drums at the second verse, builds to a full-band arrangement featuring a repeating four-chord progression (G-Em-C-D), and reaches its climax at the bridge, where the congregation is invited to lift their hands and sing "you alone are worthy" eight times consecutively before a quiet final chorus.

Webb said the song came to him "in about twenty minutes," which he cited as evidence of divine origin. "When it flows that easily, you know it's not you," he said. "You know it's the Lord."

Covenant's senior pastor, Rev. Gerald Pittman, confirmed he had listened to the song and found it "genuinely anointed," adding that the chord progression "really moves." He did not elaborate further, as he was reviewing the weekly attendance report.

The song is currently available on SoundCloud and will be introduced to the congregation "organically" over the coming weeks, a process Webb described as "letting it land in the soil of community before we force anything."

Endless is expected to remain in regular weekly rotation for approximately 18 months, after which it will be retired to a folder on Webb's laptop labeled Worship Archives 2026.

Webb's previous song, Boundless, received two SoundCloud plays in its first week. One was from his mother.
