DOTHAN, Ala. — The Calvary Road Quartet has announced the launch of its Final Farewell Tour, marking the fourth consecutive year the four-member Southern Gospel ensemble has concluded its ministry through a scheduled 47-city run.
The 2026 Final Farewell Tour, titled "Until We Meet Again — One Last Time," is scheduled to begin May 14 in Dothan and will visit churches, auditoriums, and civic centers across 12 states before concluding in Nashville in October.
"We felt the Lord calling us to close this chapter," said baritone and tour manager Gerald Fitch, 61, who offered the same statement, with minor variations, in 2023, 2024, and 2025. "When God says it's time, it's time."
The 2025 Final Farewell Tour, "Crossing the Jordan — Our Final Journey," concluded in November with stronger attendance than the 2024 Final Farewell Tour, "Homeward Bound — Last Stop," which the quartet described at the time as their "definitive end to public ministry."
Merchandise for the 2026 tour includes a commemorative t-shirt, a limited-edition DVD titled Goodbye, Church: The Final Final Concert, and a devotional booklet authored by first tenor Dale Sutton, who joined the group permanently in 2018 following his own retirement from touring.
Presale tickets are available through the quartet's website. A VIP package, which includes early entry and a photograph with all four members, is priced at $89 and described on the site as "a final, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
The Calvary Road Quartet was founded in 1987. Its fifth member, original bass singer Howard Pruett, retired from the group in 2019. He has since completed two solo farewell tours.
