BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — First Alliance Church worship leader Tyler Greer announced Sunday that he has completed his 48th original worship song, describing the new composition as a natural extension of the themes, chord progressions, and melodic structure that have defined his previous work.
"God just keeps giving me new songs," said Greer, 31. "Every one is different. Every one is personal."
The song, titled "More of You (You Are My Everything)," opens with a four-chord progression in the key of G major before building to a bridge that Greer described as "the moment where the room really connects." Running time is four minutes and seventeen seconds.
Greer's previous single, "Everything to Me (More of You)," reached 847 streams on Spotify before he removed it to avoid confusion with the new release.
"People kept telling me the two sounded similar," he said. "I think what they're picking up on is a shared anointing."
Church leadership confirmed that "More of You (You Are My Everything)" will enter the Sunday set immediately, replacing "Closer (All I Need)" and "You Are My Everything (More of You)," both of which were retired last spring.
Sound engineer Marcus Bowen said setup for the new song required no adjustments.
"Same key, same tempo, same inputs," Bowen said. "I didn't have to change anything."
First Alliance plans to record a live worship album in the fall. Greer said the track listing has not been finalized but will likely feature between ten and twelve songs.
